This webquest is called “In a Poetic State” because you will become poets who write about one of the 50 states. This is your chance to get your creative juices flowing while learning more about the United States.

A children’s book company is having a poetry contest. They have asked you to create a series of poems highlighting some of the wonderful qualities of your state. A book will be created that showcases the winning poems written by student authors. These poetry books will be available at bookstores all over the world!
